The Ghana Black Stars have done it again!! Congratulations to them for qualifying to the finals.

The match ended with a scoreline of 3-0 against Equatorial Guinea, with the 1st goal from Jordan Ayew in a penalty, 2nd from Wakaso and the last goal from Andre Dede Ayew.

The Ghanaian team are to play against the Ivorians on Sunday, 8th February, 2015 to battle out for the African Cup. On the other hand, Equatorial Guinea will play a match against Dr. Congo prior to the finals on Sunday.

Now this is no where near funny; its not something we should be laughing about, although a lot of people are making fun of the situation. He's 90 years for crying out loud!
The 90-year-old President of Zimbabwe who had returned from Ethiopia, was making his way down from a raised podium at the airport when he missed a step and fell to the ground.

Mugabe’s security team was quick to step in, surrounding the president and helping him the rest of the way to a parked limousine.

As the car sped away, officials turned their attention to the TV cameras and photographers present. A number of journalists told the Associated Press they were forced to delete their pictures of the incident by security personnel.
Mugabe’s press spokesperson is yet to comment on the incident.

Alvaro Eduardo Guzman-Telles
A 29-year-old man from Detroit threatened to behead the New York Police Officer who put Eric Garner in a chokehold, that resulted in his death, and he was indicted by a Grand Jury for his actions.
According to a criminal complaint, obtained byBuzzFeedAlvaro Eduardo Guzman-Telles wrote in a Facebook post, “Kill all cops on sight. No matter the circumstance.” When a commenter brought up the officer who killed Garner, he then responded, “I’m going to personally kill and behead Daniel Pantaleo. This is a written threat and has to be taken extremely seriously.”
The NY Daily News reports that his mother claims that her son has Asperger syndrome, and didn’t mean to write the posts. He was instructed by her to delete the posts after writing them in December 2014, but cops found that never happened when they visited her on January 1st.
The site reports:
He was arrested Jan. 7 in New Mexico and a Michigan grand jury indicted him Jan. 27, officials said.
The bereft mom told the Daily News her son says things he doesn’t mean because of his autism.
Asperger syndrome is a highly functional form of autism and can hinder the ability to behave appropriately in certain social situations.
Before threatening Pantaleo, Guzman-Telles posted general threats against cops, including, “Kill all cops on sight. No matter the circumstances,” according to the criminal complaint from Michigan.
After other posters made comments, Guzman-Telles wrote that he “stands behind his words.”
Guzman-Telles is in police custody at this current time, and his bail hearing is set for this Friday.

Is it just a coincidence that these two have a striking resemblance to each other or there's some relation between them. Enzo Ferrari, the founder of Ferrari, died in 1988, same year Mesut Özil, a footballer was born. Maybe he's been replaced... (Just saying).

It looks like the situation has gone worse, things aren’t looking good for Bobbi Kristina Brown. “It’s now a matter of when the family wants to let go and accept that she’s pretty much not going to make it,” a source closely connected to the situation told FOX411, adding that doctors have expressed that there is little they can do. “They’ve left it up to the family as to how long they want to keep her alive.” Kristina will be needing more prayers.

Earlier this week, reports emerged that the situation involving the daughter of Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown was particularly weak and her brain function was “alarming low” after being placed in a medically-induced coma. However, we’re told that Bobby Brown is remaining hopeful and rallying others to stay uplifted – refusing to acknowledge the worst-case scenario. On that note, a source connected to the Houston family has said that the 21 year old’s condition has actually improved somewhat, with things looking better than they were earlier this week. “We continue to request privacy in this matter. Please allow for our family to deal with this matter and give Bobbi Kristina the love and support she needs at this time,” Bobby Brown added in a statement.

A man previously arrested on drug distribution charges was the friend who, along with Gordon, discovered Bobbi Kristina Brown face down in a bathtub, unresponsive on Saturday. Police officials said that Gordon immediately began administering CPR before paramedics arrived. According to MyFoxAtlanta, Maxwell Byron Lomas is named in an incident report as one of the people police encountered when they responded to a drowning. Citing Fulton County Jail records, MyFoxAtlanta revealed Lomas was arrested as recently as Jan. 14 and charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of Alprazolam and possession of firearm or knife during commission of or attempt to commit certain felonies. Brown was rushed to a hospital in Northern Atlanta on Saturday.

Kristina Brown has been relocated to another hospital, reported TMZ although the details as to when and why remain unclear. The incident bears an eerie resemblance to the death of Brown’s mother almost three years ago in Beverly Hills.

Houston, then 48, who had struggled for years with drug addiction, was found dead in a bathtub at the Beverly Hilton Hotel. The official cause of death was labeled accidental drowning, with heart disease and cocaine use deemed contributing factors. “Bobbi Kristina is fighting for her life and is surrounded by immediate family,” a family statement said Monday.

“We are asking you to honor our request for privacy during this difficult time.” A representative for Bobbi Kristina did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Just last Thursday, the 21-year-old tweeted her excitement about continuing in her late mother’s footsteps, and her excitement to “get this career started already.” A well-placed insider later told FOX411 that the budding performer was planning to record a tribute album to her mom with her father this year.

Let's all remember to say a prayer for Kristina Brown, you'll never know what your prayers could do. #PrayForKristinaBrown.

There is total pandemonium at the Kumasi Central Prisons as inmates attempt to escape from the facility following a fire there earlier tonight.

Reports reaching JoyNews indicate that there was a fire at the B Hall, which led to the prisons officials releasing the inmates into the open yard for safety.

Firemen have the situation under control but the situation has been exacerbated by the panicked prisoners, who refuse to return to their cells.

Some of the inmates made an aborted attempt to escape from the facility and are currently rioting.

Joy News’ Erastus Asare Donkor reports that the gates of the prison are locked but occasionally are opened up to allow additional armed police to enter the facility.

Armed police responding to the scene are reportedly employing tear gas in an attempt to control the prisoners who are throwing bricks, stones, sachet water and other projectiles at police and prison personnel.

It is not immediately clear whether there have been any casualties in the fire or ensuing rioting.

In a further development, additional fire and manpower have been deployed to the prison as the inmates attempt to break the wall to make their escape.

Updates will be brought to you as the situation unfolds.

University of Ghana, Legon brings us Valentine Special in the month of February dubbed: "This Family is Not for Sale: Season 1" a play which tells the story of the Abbans; a family of 8, with almost everyone having something to hide.

A comedy written by Kobina Ansah, who has come close to a decade of writing experience with no restriction to a specific genre, his unique sense of writing allows him to write anything from prose to drama, etc. 26 year old Kobina Ansah, Founder of Scribe Communications says: "I love to inspire my world with my juju. My ink is my juju!"

Again the "juju man" says that he does not want to be ordinary, he always wants to be noted not for the rules he obeyed, but for the ones he broke! For this reason he went for this serial "This Family is Not for Sale" opposing the usual one-time plays around. He also stated that "the brain can do more than just gossiping. I prefer to use mine to the maximum. I choose to be creative"

This Family Is Not For Sale is a product of Scribe Productions, a Subsidiary of Scribe Communications and it is coming off on the 14th and 15th of February, 2015 at the Drama Studio of University of Ghana (Efua Sutherland Drama Studio) for GHS 15.00 (Single) and GHS 25.00 (double). The time is 7pm, don't be late!!!

I didn't want to talk about the current "Dums)" saga, just because I might get too emotional or too personal about the whole issue but this time around I just couldn't help it. "The Dons of Dum-s)" seriously??! Its a good thing that we make fun of situations around us just so we don't feel the serious impact it may have on us but again I think our leaders should do something about the electricity.. Its gone way out of hands!!!

Currently enjoying my cut of Dums), abi you know dadah, ECG at it again...

Among the lovely people who wished John Dumelo a happy birthday, Majid Michel was of no exception. The actor wished his co-actor a happy birthday and I'm thinking, the picture he posted, was it part of a scene in a movie or Majid is also a barber? There's nothing wrong with it though. I think its cool!!
John Dumelo gets involved in a minor accident on his birthday. The Ghanaian actor posted a picture on his instagram page expressing his feelings to what could have been a fatal accident.

We thank God John Dumelo is safe and sound and the Ghana Police for being around. He's still about his business after the unfortunate incident happened.
Yvonne Nelson wishes John Dumelo a happy birthday and in doing that, she clears the air about John Dumelo and herself. She wrote "I'm waiting for the day you'll post your girlfriend's pic for the world to see so I can be free.....  you are more than just a best friend. You are a brother". The image below shows her full birthday message to John Dumelo.

Today happens to be the 3rd day of the highly acclaimed month of love, February and it also is the birthday of no other person but John Dumelo (J. Melo).

JD is 31 years old today and he celebrates this day with love and well wishes from his friends, fans, family and co-actors.

I want to take this opportunity to personally wish a son of Africa, J. Melo (JD) a blissful happy birthday!!! May God crown your efforts with success, stay blessed and have a nice day!

Researchers in Norway have found out in a study of 10,000 16 to 19-year-olds that the longer a young person spends on looking at an electronic screen before going to bed, the worse quality sleep they have.

Teenagers should have a “screen-free” hour before bedtime, experts have said, after new evidence suggested too much exposure to TVs, smartphones, tablets and computers can affect their sleeping patterns. Those who spent more than four hours a day looking at screens had a 49% greater risk of taking longer than an hour to fall asleep and were three and a half times more likely to sleep for under 5 hours a night.

The time spent on electronic devices may be replacing sleeping time and also interfering with the body clock.
Eustace de Sousa, national lead for children, young people and families at Public Health England said that technology use among children was “rapidly changing”. “It is important that we keep abreast of the impact this is having on their health,” he said. “Existing evidence shows that the more screen time children have, the more likely they are to experience attention difficulties, anxiety, depression and poor sleep patterns. Children obviously need to use computers to do homework, but the priority for parents and children is moderation.
"There are simple things we can all do every day with our children to support their wellbeing, which include making sure they get a healthy breakfast, making sure they are active for the recommended 60 minutes per day, asking them about their day and switching some of that screen time into quality family time."

Congrats to the Ghana Black Stars, 3-0 against Guinea, that's a good job done considering the fact that it was a tough match.

Ghana qualifies to the next stage of the competition and are expected to appear on the pitch to play against either Algeria or Cote d'ivoire, both teams are currently battling it out and one of these teams will emerge as team the Black Stars are to play against. All the best to these two!!!

The goalkeeper for Guinea has been given a red card after he had received a yellow card in the 1st half. If you ask me, I'll say this is drastic. What happens to the Guineans next??? #AFCON
